Course Structure
Beginner Level -
- Introduction to Sitar: Overview of the instrument, its history, parts, and cultural significance.
- Basic Techniques: Holding the Sitar, tuning, plucking techniques, and basic finger placement.
- Simple Tunes and Scales: Learning basic melodies, major and minor scales, and simple ragas.
- Right-Hand Techniques: Introduction to the use of the Mizrab (plectrum) for plucking.
- Introduction to Indian Classical Music: Basics of Indian classical music theory, including notes (Swaras), rhythm (Tala), and simple ragas.
Intermediate Level -
