Flute (Bansuri) Playing Course
Uncover the art of playing the bansuri through our extensive program at the Divine Indian Music Center. This course includes teaching in the house for all the learners from the beginners to the advanced players and emphasizes Indian classical music. Course Overview
The Divine Indian Music Center’s Flute (Bansuri) playing course aims to take a student from basic to advanced stage of playing the Indian bamboo flute. The goal of the course is to help participants develop musical skills by the time they finish the program. The course content includes information about all the levels of the students’ learning – the beginners, the intermediate and the advanced learners with a special emphasis on Indian traditional classical music and contemporary styles.

Beginner Level -

- Basic Techniques: Holding the Bansuri, blowing techniques, and finger placement.
- Simple Tunes and Scales: Learning basic tunes, major and minor scales, and simple melodies.
- Breath Control and Embouchure: Developing proper breath control and embouchure techniques.
- Introduction to Indian Classical Music: Basics of Indian classical music theory, including notes (Swaras), rhythm (Tala), and basic ragas.
Intermediate Level -
- Advanced Finger Techniques: Techniques for smooth transitions between notes, ornamentations, and vibrato.
