About Divine Indian Music Center

Our Story

Founded in 2000, Divine Indian Music Center was established with the vision of promoting the rich heritage of Indian music. Our founders, Hari Sankar Prasad Jaiswal and Nidhi Jaiswal, are accomplished musicians with a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of Indian classical music. Over the years, we have grown into a vibrant community of students and teachers dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence.

Hari Sankar Prasad Jaiswal, a revered figure in the world of Indian classical music, is the founder of the Divine Indian Music Center. Born into a family deeply rooted in musical traditions, Hari Sankar’s journey into music was significantly influenced by his father, the late Gulab Das Jaiswal, who was both his first teacher and his inspiration. Gulab Das Jaiswal was a talented musician, proficient in playing the flute and harmonium, and his passion for music deeply inspired young Hari.

Nidhi Jaiswal, the visionary founder of Divine Indian Music Center, has dedicated her life to the propagation and preservation of Indian classical music. Growing up in a musical household, she was deeply inspired by her father, who was not only her first teacher but also her lifelong inspiration. This early exposure to music ignited a passion in Nidhi that has guided her throughout her life.
